Dota 2 – a popular MOBA played by millions of people around the world. And it can be played by amateurs and professionals alike. Perhaps you, too, like to spend time playing the game, but at the same time keep an eye on the professional scene. The 2021 Dota 2 Esport tournaments have given a great number of players the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and win prestigious titles. The results of these tournaments also allowed us to highlight the top performing esport players. Using statistics, we have compiled a ranking of Dota 2 players, which includes the best Dota 2 players as well as young athletes. And this is for a reason, because it’s important to understand that the situation in esports can change very quickly. Those who today are among the top players in Dota 2 tomorrow may not withstand the competition and lose their position to rivals. This is logical, as esports is a struggle in which the strongest wins. But there are some top players in Dota 2 who will always be recognized as leaders.
TOP DOTA 2 PLAYERS
Dota 2 is known globally and is arguably the most popular esports in the world. Therefore, the best Dota 2 2021 players come from all over the world. It’s easy enough to see this – just type “Dota 2 players by country” into the search engine. As in other E-sport disciplines, the competition between players in Dota 2 is fierce. Players in Dota 2 are constantly competing with each other, so those who were yesterday’s leaderboard may already switch places with the outsiders tomorrow. But only the top players in Dota 2 can hold their ground for long periods of time. Who are they and how can they do it? We’ll tell you more about them.
Ame
A Chinese player known to the community as Ame. Ame is considered one of the top carries in the world. He’s able to take advantage of seemingly hopeless situations and turn the game to his advantage. As such, he has been a real headache for his opponents. Ame arrived on the professional Dota 2 scene in 2015. During his career, he has been with teams such as CDEC Youth, LGD Gaming and CDEC Gaming. He currently plays for PSG.LGD. It is largely thanks to Ame’s efforts that his team wins tournaments. His skills are recognized even by the best Dota 2 players.
Karl
Karl Matthew is a Filipino esports player who has earned numerous awards and has been listed as one of the ‘best Dota 2 players of 2020’. He is now known to Dota 2 fans as Karl Dota 2, although he also previously logged into the game as Santino. Many professional Dota 2 players may envy the achievements of Karl, whose ranking is extremely high. But you can’t say it all came easy to him. Karl has had a tough road to the top of the rankings, having started his esports career in 2015. He played on teams such as Pacific Revborn, Execration, Team Amplfy and Geek Fam before joining T1 in 2020, where he remains today.
MidOne
We continue our ranking with MidOne, a Malaysian esports player, known to the world as Zheng Yek Nye. MidOne is a top level Dota 2 player. He’s won several majors and other prestigious tournaments, but it took him a while to get there. His first Dota 2 team for MidOne was the famous team Fnatic, where he was invited in 2015. From that moment, he began the countdown of his professional MidOne Dota 2 career. He’s also been a part of teams such as Team Secret and OG where he’s proved his mettle. Currently, MidOne represents Team SMG where he performs at the curry or midrange solo position.
Nightfall
It’s not just foreign Dota 2 players who make the top of our list. Egor Grigorenko, known to Dota 2 fans as Nightfall, deserves a special mention. He’s a young player from Russia who has already won a few prestigious tournaments. Perhaps he could even win The International 10. To Nightfall’s dismay, however, Team Spirit defeated his team and prevented him from progressing further up the standings. He appeared on the professional scene relatively recently. More specifically, DOTA became a vocation for Nightfall in 2019, when he was invited to join the Virtus Pro team. At the moment, Nightfall’s Dota 2 career continues as part of the Evil Geniuses team.
Monet
Dota 2 players in the Asian region are very tough. This is evidenced by the achievements of a Chinese esports player named Du Peng, or Monet, whose ranking has remained consistently high for quite some time. Monet is a Dota 2 player currently representing Team Aster, where he plays in the curry position. Monet’s career began in 2015 and since then he has been able to achieve success and win many awards. Monet has won prestigious tournaments, and in 2017, his team LGD. Forever Young won a respectable 3rd place at The International, winning over $2 million. However, Du Peng has not given up hope of winning The International.
